Yorgo (who kicked us off playing polo in London this time last year) seems to have done it again in Paris:
We just started playing Polo in Paris, and it’s fucking awesome!!! We found the BEST spot ever. An empty fountain at the Palais De Tokyo, the contemporary art museum/skate spot on the banks for the Seine River, almost in front of the Eiffel tower. Big flat walled surface, no hassle from other users, central, stunningly classy, toilets and bar nearby, tricks area, chill-out zone, etc…

John Prolly gets excited
Check out this month’s issue of Tower Hamlets Wheelers’ (the local LCC group) excellent newsletter which has a column about polo on Brick Lane.
The third happening in Rapha’s roller race series this Saturday 19th April, 7.30pm – midnight at Imbibe Bar, 173 Blackfriars Road, SE1 8ER.
Oh looks like its sold out. Guess I won’t be there then.
Time Out magazine has a cycling issue this week and have featured bike polo on Brick Lane. I wonder if this means they will finally get round to updating their listing for polo? Find the discussion on the article here.

Kind of. Cycle polo was featured at as a demonstration sport in the London 1908 Summer Olympics. Ireland won. That;s about as much info as I can dig up, if anyone has any more please let me know!
I went a bit mysteriously quiet, mostly because I haven’t been down to polo in a while due to other things happening. However its still happening and getting even better with the weather warming up towards summer. Check the fixed gear forum for word on improving the polo court with walls.
Work is also ticking over on another polo tournament or two this summer. Watch this space!
